Alma Men's Lacrosse loses tough 7-6 decision to Transylvania
The 2013 Alma College Men's Lacrosse team opened up their season on Wednesday with a game against Transylvania University in Lexinton, Kentucky. In a match that was close throughout, two young squads fought to the end, with the hometown Pioneers coming away with a 7-6 win.
Transylvania is now 2-1 on the season while the 0-1 Scots will next play at Mt. St. Joseph (Ohio) on Friday afternoon, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
"It was a tough one to swallow today and even though it was a good learning experience for our young program, at the end of the day we let this game slip away," said Alma Head Coach Jason Levesque. "We battled hard but missed far too many opportunities to put the game and come away with the win. We'll learn from it and move forward together."
